  • Feb 2: EVO Web server problems occurs during 5 hours. From now our web server is back to normal. Sorry about the incoveniences.
  • Dec 5: Release of Koala 1.5.5, fix some Audio problem, Mac OS 64 bits compatible and more:
    • Progress bar and better control for searching meetings
    • Reconnect to alternative panda is the login information doesn't come back
    • Request meeting icon one at a time to avoid flooding the panda with too much requests
    • MacOS fix for the 64bits architecture and compatibility with the latest Java update (see below)
    • Better Audio mixing to SIP/H.323 client
    • Fix Audio buzz issue on MacOS for USB audio devices.
    • Language bug fixed
    • Bug when not able to load the background image fixed
    • Update JNLP to include the fix for MacOS 64bits
    • A new 23 ports BNL EVO phone bridge has been installed.
    Oct 2: Release of Koala 1.5.1, new Audio engine, Snow Leopard compatible and more:
    • Audio bandwidth reduced by 2/3
    • Audio perfect up to 20% packet lost
    • Audio noise suppression
    • Audio Automatic Gain Control
    • Works with Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6) and Java SE 6 64bits
    • H.323 call works now under NAT/PNAT environment
    • Dozen of bugs fixed
  • Mar 12: Release of Koala 1.3.0 and New ViEVO which include many bug fixes and enhancements. Among the enhancements:
      ViEVO:
    • H.264 codec for Windows, MacOS (decoding only on Linux for now)
    • Detach video on Windows with right click to detach any video and click on "f" for full screen and "Esc" to return to normal mode
    • Selection of higher video resolutions
      H.323:
    • New video transcoder capable of getting input from any codec, any size
    • New H.323 EVO agent capable of calling H.323 end-points up to 4CIF/H.263
    • H.323 call works now under NAT/PNAT environment
      Koala:
    • Automatic "moderator" when no moderator is present in the meeting
    • New video mode called "Limited Video" will limit the remote video received to 300kbps
    • Automatic adaptation of video bandwidth received or sent in case of packet loss

  • Feb 2nd: Release of new EVO Telephone Bridge service for the UK. It is now possible to phone into an EVO meeting using the UK national rate number: 0161 306 6802. Up to eight telephone users can simultaneously bridge to EVO meetings using this number. Details on using this bridge can be found here.

  • November 28th: Release of New ViEVO for Mac using OpenGL. Now Mac users can have the same flexibility and performance as Windows users.

  • Release of EVO Player in BETA on November 18th. It alows you to playback any EVO recording without starting EVO. Please do not start if Koala is running, in such case it may not start correctly. We are waiting your feedback.

  • Upgrade of main EVO servers has been done the 4th of October. Due to change of date on all the files the Java Web Start will download all the packages. Sorry for the inconveniences. The aim of this upgrade is to always improve our world wide EVO Collaboration Network service.

  • LHC startup was in EVO. The LHC first beam (from CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland) event was broadcasted in EVO the 10th of September. Click HERE for additional information.

  • New version ViEVO video tool for Windows plus updates for other components released 11 July. More information on the new version can be found here.

  • New EVO Telephone Bridge at BNL (New York)

  • Koala Updated to 1.0.10 on Friday May 30 with a new trusted certificate from Verisign.
