Selection of right Java version
- Open the "/Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0" Folder.
- Double Click on "Java Preferences".
- In the "Java Application Runtime Settings" section of the "General" tab...
- Drag the "J2SE 5.0" from the second position to the top first position like it is shown below.

- Then Click on the "Save" button and re-launch Koala from EVO web site.
How to report a problem/bug ?

We suggest to send an e-mail to evosupport@vrvs.org to report any problem encountered with EVO.
But to help us in the debugging process you should copy the content of the Java Web Start console of the Koala (EVO client application) into the email.
- Open the "/Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0" Folder.
- Double Click on "Java Preferences".
- Click on "Preferences" of the "Java Web Start" menu.
- Extend the "Java console" branch from the "Advanced" tab...
- Enable the "Show console" checkbox like it is shown below.

- Then Click on the "Save" button and re-launch Koala from EVO web site.

X11 Server
- If the video application don't show up when you are in a meeting please make sure:
- That the selected videoconference plugin should open a video tool (like Vievo).
- That you have the Apple X11 server installed:
- To do so please check that the "X11" application is in /Applications/Utilities.
- If it is not the case you can install X11 from Mac OS X installation CD/DVD.
- Insert the Tiger DVD.
- Scroll down to the "Optional Installs.mpkg" file and double click on it.
- Follow the instructions until you get to the "Package Name" page. Expand the "Applications" list and check "X11" and click on "Install". It will now install X11.
- When you are done go to the Apple Web site and download the "X11Update2006" file. This is optional depending on the version of the Tiger DVD that you have. The URL is: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/x11update2006113.html
- If you don't have it with you, please download and install the one for your OS version:
Tiger (10.4.x) on MacIntel
Tiger (10.4.x) on MacPowerPC
Panther (10.3.x) on MacPowerPC
- If the videos are displayed with strange color please set the color depth with millions of colors:
In X11 server menu select the Preferences... menu item and set the color as it is shown in the following picture:

You need to plug the Duet before to start EVO (Koala). Then open the System Preferences and select the Sound section.
From there select the input device as it is shown in the following picture.

Then select the output device as it is shown in this picture.

From now you can start Koala (the EVO client). Once you are connected and that you have entered a meeting please proceed the audio selection as it is displayed in the following picture:
